GBV in time Perspective
GBV has been existed since man was created.
Even in the past centuries ,it was there sometimes it was highly managed. It had the following paths
1.It was limited.
2.There was minimum acceptance
3.It was one sided
4.It was managed by the family
In the 18th century
As wars broke out
-women had limited choices
-the main task of women was to keep, extend the family by force.
-the men had no right to kill a main like wise the woman did not have such a right.
In the 19th Century
Women started to have their own properties,to divorce,to keep the children and decide their own
home rules.
Financial independence
-Women entered in legislature
-Occupy the so-called "Men's Profession'" especially in Police and Justice.
-Choice of type of marriage.
As their independence grew
-men's jealousy grew
-abusr also took place.
-self justice from men took place such as killing their spouses and some women also did that.
- more families broke out.
How did the broken families live?
-Some women had "revenge" to boy children.
where they were even belittled compared to their fathers.
-,Lot of life pretence until someone gets what he/she wants.
-Women were dumped or "caught up" in polygamy either openly or underground. They had to work very hard that they were good. These relations depended on the openness of the two new partness and tolerance. Some lasted very long.
The method of proposal changed.
A woman could propose and the man would accept because of what he saw
-Beauty
-Finance
-Move
-Better life
Sometimes the resources were looked at for sharing either the same standard or educationally
or the social standard.
